Child Protection Awareness Training

This training is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with children in their work or voluntary activity and provides them with a thorough understanding of how to recognise child abuse, the forms of abuse, child development, responding to disclosure, acting on concerns, and reporting abuse. The content is based on the recommended national guidelines ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children 2013’ and provides an introduction to key issues in child protection to enable participants to develop an understanding of their role and responsibilities.

It is specifically designed to give learners a better understanding of what the different types of child abuse are, what signs to look out for and what actions to take if this situation ever presents itself and will bring clarity to all staff.
