Our Basic Life Support & Defibrillator (AED) training qualification is designed for all employees who work in an organisation where a defibrillator is available. This qualification will enable each learner to provide support to first aiders where life support is required.
Our Basic Life Support & Defibrillator qualification covers:
Managing an Unresponsive Breathing Casualty
Managining an Unresponsive Non Breathing Casualty
Understand the Safe Use of Defibrillators
Safely Use a Defibrillator
This Basic Life Support & Defibrillator course takes place over 1/2 day.
Morning Courses run 9.30am – 12.30pm and Afternoon Courses run 1.00pm – 4.00pm.
This qualification is assessed through a theory assessment and an ongoing practical demonstration of the correct techniques within each topic above.
All candidates will receive a handbook to guide them through their first aid both during the course and back in the workplace.
All successful candidates will receive a certificate specifying their qualification shortly after attending their course.
The Basic Life Support & Defibrillator qualification is valid for 3 years after which each candidate should re-take the course if they wish to continue practicing.
